DSL Modem | Netgear Brodband ADSL2 + Modem All of the network features are turned off as they are being provided by another router. |
Netgear 3700 Dual Band Router | This is the main network router. It contains the DHCP server and handles all routing functions. The router has been upgraded to a new operating system, DD-WRT which provides additional features. This is also the access point for the wireless devices |
Belkin 8 Port Switch | Connected to the Netgear 3700 router this provides an additional 8 Ethernet ports to the network. |
Netgear WRT54G Router | A spare router that acts like a network bridge to extend the wireless network and also provide Ethernet connections to devices that may need wired connections away from the primary router. This router has also been upgraded to the DD-WRT operating system |
Netgear 3400 Router | Much the same functions as the WRT54G. Currently used as a spare and only used in temporary situations as needed. |
Computers | Four computers are normally connected to the network. All use Ethernet connections except my Sony laptop. |
Cameras | Nine cameras are currently attached to the network as described on the Cameras page. Only the Airlink 101 uses an Ethernet connection. See the Camera Information page for more information. |
Brother MFC-J1415W Printer | An inkjet all-in-one printer. Printer, scanner, and FAX. I should add that the FAX portion has never been used. I have been very pleased with this printer and would recommend Brother to anyone in the market. |
NAS: Network Attached Storage* | This Seagate 1TB HDD has been flawless since day one. Attached to this drive via USB is an additional NAS. This second drive is Seagate 3TB drive. Their uses are described on the Computer Information page. |
